Breakfast Care Club

Information

Baildon Church of England Primary School Breakfast Club  operates daily in term time from 7.30 am until 8.40am for children in Reception to Year 6. All children who attend Breakfast Club must attend Baildon Church of England School. Places at Breakfast Club can be organised by talking to Mr Gomersal. Alternatively, you can email any enquiries to breakfast-club@baildonce.co.uk. An online registration form needs to be completed before any child can start at Breakfast Care Club.

Breakfast comprises of  a selection of cereal, toast, fruit and yogurts which  are available every day. Also, hot or cold drinks will be available from 7.30am until 8.25am. Parents need to indicate a half a term in advance whether they require breakfast for their children. The cost for each session with breakfast is £4.50. For those children who wish to attend but do not require breakfast, the cost per session is £4.00. Parents must pay for sessions in advance (weekly, monthly, half termly etc). If children are in receipt of Free School Meals through Benefit Services, the cost is £3.75. A receipt will be issued for all payments. Payments must be made using the online payment system which can be accessed here. Childcare vouchers are also acceptable as a means of payment. The school reserves the right to exclude a child if fees are not paid.

For children (and staff!) who need to come round slowly in a morning, we have board games and quiet pastimes such as 1:1 reading or crafting with an adult. For children who like to be active from the word go, they can let off steam in the hall, dancing to Just Dance or Go Noodle, join in a table tennis competition in the gym or outdoors in summer, playing tennis, football, skipping and hula hooping. Children choose their own activities and are supervised by the staff, but they are expected to tidy up after themselves, putting away the toys and tidying their crockery and cutlery after eating. Everyone gets involved and helps each other out when these jobs have to be done. Our children might have an early start to the day but they go into class happy, relaxed and ready to learn.
